Thursday Doors -July 7, 2016

I realized that it is Thursday and that I have been saving a picture for Thursday Doors for a long time. I planned to post it on or about July 3, you can guess why from the image. I guess I am not too late and since July 3 was not a Thursday, I am not going to beat myself up!

Located in rural Oregon…

2006 SEPT Kingsley - Dufur trip 002

The old jail, dated July 3, 1918, still stands. No longer used, it is still a reminder that these are not places you want to go!

  1. Very nice! I guess they didn’t believe in or practice an “open door policy”. 🙂

  2. I really love the door – the rust – the steel – the Windows and the whole old jail feel – but this cool photo also had some different interest for me with that amazing blue sky! Really – the old meets the new in a cheery way – and i know many prisons today are. It the best – but I would say we have come a long ways….

  3. Scary looking place but a great shot, all the same. 😮

  4. Plus or minus a few days is always fine. I like the way even the windows have steel shutters. Gee I guess they really didn’t want ‘visitors’ to leave 😉
