Geneology

Do any of you do family research? There are some real mysteries in my family tree and I dig into it every few years to see if I can discover anything new. In preparation for the return of my DNA results, I am back at the research and suspect I may be a bit off the blogosphere circuit for a while. This kind of stuff is like going down the rabbit hole.

It’s not that I think any of you will miss me, but just in case!

Wish me luck and if you have any great advice for breaking down brick walls, feel free to send it my way!

  1. Family trees are amazing and mysteries are opened! Mine has fuelled my imagination!

  2. Research is amazing….but so time consuming…hard to juggle it all at times…have fun and best wishes with your new adventures.

  3. Happy hunting. Jolene P.S. Love the family tree graphic!

  4. I’ve got a very long pedigree, but I’ve leaned that it’s the stories that fascinate me most … Recent or ancient history, doesn’t matter. I love reading old letters, transcripts, clippings … Just the best!

Good luck in your search… Never hurts to try to climb a little higher (or lower) in all those limbs. 🙂

  5. I also look up my family tree which is not too difficult since we have always lived in Maryland since 1640 and the State archives are less than an hour’s drive away. I’ll be interested to hear about your DNA results. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music

  6. I imagine getting your DNA results would be a pretty consuming experience. Best of luck with your research into your roots and history. Take good care.
